EthGebya Return Policy


Every dress that leaves our hands has been made specifically for you — cut, stitched, and embroidered by artisans in Ethiopia who have spent years perfecting their craft. We stand behind every piece we send. If something is not right, we want to know and we want to fix it.

Below you will find everything you need to know about returning an item or requesting a refund. If you have any questions that are not answered here, please contact us directly — we will respond personally.

30-Day Return Window

We accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date. To be eligible, items must be:

  • Unworn and unwashed
  • In the same condition as received — no stains, no alterations, no damage
  • With all original tags attached
  • In the original packaging if possible

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund within 5–7 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

Custom & Personalized Orders

Because our dresses are handmade to your measurements — cut and stitched by our tailors specifically for your body — custom and personalized orders are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless there is a defect or error on our part.

This is why we always ask you to send your measurements carefully and double-check them before ordering. Our Size Guide walks you through how to measure correctly. If you are unsure, please reach out before you order — not after.

Defects or Our Mistakes

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, we will make it right — no questions asked. This applies to all orders, including custom ones.

To report a problem, contact us within 30 days of delivery and include:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the item showing the issue
  • A brief description of the problem

We will review and respond within 2 business days with a solution — either a replacement, a repair, or a full refund.

How to Start a Return

Do not ship anything back without contacting us first. We will give you the return address and instructions.

  1. Email us at habeshadiasporamart@gmail.com with your order number and reason for return
  2. Wait for our confirmation — we will send you return instructions within 48 hours
  3. Pack the item carefully and ship it using a tracked method
  4. Send us the tracking number so we can monitor the return

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error or a defective item.

Exchanges

We do not process direct exchanges at this time. If you would like a different size or style, please return the original item (if eligible) and place a new order. Contact us and we will do our best to prioritize your new order.

International Returns (Europe & Canada)

We ship worldwide and we accept international returns. The same 30-day return window applies. Please note that international return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility, and we do not cover customs or import duties on returned items.

If you are in Europe or Canada and have a concern about your order, email us first — sometimes we can resolve the issue without you having to ship anything back.
